John was born in Macomb, Illinois, received his undergraduate degree from Knox College in 1972 and obtained his law degree from Stetson University in 1975. John and Doug March founded the firm of March and McMillan in Macomb, Illinois in 1979. John is licensed to practice law in Illinois and Florida.
John has served as General Counsel for McDonough Power Cooperative and McDonough Telephone Cooperative for 40 years. John primarily represents farmers, farm owners and farm businesses and devotes the majority of his time to estate planning, estate tax planning, business planning, probate matters and real estate transactions for farm families. He also represents banking institutions and serves as General Counsel for Colchester State Bank and the State Bank of Industry.
George Hennenfent grew up on a farm near Smithshire, Illinois, went to elementary and high school in Roseville, Illinois, graduated from college at Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois and obtained a law degree at the University of Illinois in Champaign, Illinois. He is married and has children and grandchildren. Most of his work is assisting farm families with real estate, estate planning, trusts, estates, corporations, limited liability companies, income taxes and estate taxes.Get To Know Us
Jeff was born in Des Moines, Iowa, and grew up on a farm and working in his family's agribusiness. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Agricultural Business from Iowa State University in 1983 and his law degree from the University of Iowa in 1989. He is licensed to practice in Illinois and Iowa. In general practice in Macomb since 1989, Jeff's fields of practice include, but are not limited to, commercial law, litigation, employment law, appellate law, business law, estate planning, real estate and elder law. He has taught criminal law and procedure to Law Enforcement and Justice Administration students and business law at Western Illinois University.Get To Know Us
Nicole was born and raised in Lincoln, Illinois. She attended Western Illinois University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in 2009. She went on to obtain her law degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2013. Nicole is licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois and is a member of the Illinois Bar Association and the McDonough County Bar Association. Nicole joined the firm in April 2014. Her areas of practice primarily include estate planning, probate, real estate, foreclosures, municipality law and civil litigation. In the community, Nicole is President of the Macomb Kiwanis Club and a member of the McDonough County Humane Society.Get To Know Us
